Circular Economy
The purpose of the ‘circular economy’ is to use resources and materials in an efficient way, and to ultimately eliminate waste. In nature there is no waste, everything is recycled.
The Eco-Res housing concept considers how buildings may be dismantled and materials reused at end of life, providing adaptable space that will ensure the longevity of the product, and design which facilitates maintenance over time. All projects are carried out in BIM to enable this process.
The only way of successfully achieving this outcome is by working in partnership with shared vision.
Sustainable development is not just the reduction of energy and utility usage; it is the reduction of the impact of the housing process on available natural resources.
The construction process can provide training programmes and the creation of micro factories for the off site manufacture of the building shell. This may be of interest to local authorities and local employment and training initiatives.
